Situated in the South Canterbury town of Fairlie, Mackenzie College is a small, rural year 7-13 school of approximately 190 students.

It is situated in one of the finest physical environments in the world, with spectacular mountain views, rivers, lakes and rolling farmland all on your doorstep.

Part of a thriving rural community, college life offers students the opportunity to excel in all aspects of education; from the classroom to the sports field, from culture to science and technology, all in an environment that encourages students to strive to realise their academic potential, to enjoy learning and to develop into impressive young adults.

Welcome back to a new school year! The next few weeks are quite busy so here are a few back-to-school basics:

30 Jan - Senior option conferences - all year 11-13 students should be booking these now (see Facebook post or newsletter for details)

31 Jan - Year 7 start - meet at 8:55am in the Soft Tech block. Parents are welcome to stay for the introduction.

31 Jan - Year 13 leadership camp starts - meet in the carpark at 8:45am.

 2 Feb - All students attend - parents are welcome to attend the powhiri. Details will be published shortly.


Student leaders - these will be announced during the assembly on 2 Feb.

Stationery lists and uniform requirements - extra copies of these are available at the office or online here: https://goo.gl/HYp7bV

 BYOD - Year 9 and 10 students need to bring their devices on their first day (2 Feb). Senior students are encouraged to also bring suitable devices to support their learning.
